Laser
therapy is being used to treat hearing loss, tinnitus, and Meniere'
s disease in Germany, France, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Italy, Russia
and much of eastern Europe.
In 1999 Dr. Lutz Wilden reported at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery that, based on eight years of experience using therapeutic lasers, the hearing capacity of 348 patients he had treated (402 ears) improved in all frequency sectors, on average 20.6%. 1
